Eloise looks like she might faint as she presents herself to the Queen, but her faux pas is upstaged by a fresh scandal sheet from Lady Whistledown (voiced by Julie Andrews), the nom de plume of Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan). It’s the start of a new society season, following an eventful Season 1, and Queen Charlotte (Golda Rosheuvel) is thirsty for some excitement. We thought we’d never see the day: Eloise (Claudia Jessie) is a blushing debutante! Of course she’s not going to be anything like her sister Daphne (Phoebe Dynevor), who’s visiting from domestic bliss in Clyvedon - but this society season, and this season of Bridgerton, promises plenty of its own excitement.
